Service Ministries

Galatians 5:13 - You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

There’s that word "freedom" again! When we get untangled from self-focus and the daily grind, we find that we are free to serve. Jesus said that "it is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). Many, many people in this fellowship have found that to be profoundly true through their work in service ministries.

Respite

Special needs

Our goal is to provide a monthly event that both parents and children look forward to! We want to provide parents with the gift of time and rest. Your children will be given 1-on-1 attention from a personal buddy and get to be included in activities that are tailored to meet their needs.

Burden

Burden

Mercy ministries

"Burden" is a Christ-centered addiction recovery group that assists people in finding freedom from addiction. People who struggle with addictions of any kind are welcome to attend. Alcohol, substance abuse, pornography, food, video games, and co-dependance are all addictions represented in Burden. Studies show over 90% of men and 70% of women view pornography in any given month. The relational damage porn causes is devastating. Rich and Sherri Hunter and Ted Howell lead Burden and share a grace-based vision of recovery for those looking to change direction away from their struggles. At the meetings, there will typically be a short teaching followed by group sharing and discussion. The discussion groups are separated into men and women to facilitate easier sharing.

Burden meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 6 pm in the Study Center.

Joni & Friends

Joni & Friends

Special needs

Joni and Friends’ focus is on sharing the hope of the Gospel and giving practical help to people impacted by disability worldwide. They have had a tremendous impact on the church and communities around the globe for the past 40 years. Every summer they hold a family retreat for families impacted by disability. In these camps, the families are cared for, rejuvenated, and encouraged by a united Body of Christ. We send missions teams in the summer to volunteer at these camps as short-term missionaries, which can be a life-changing experience for those who go.

Wheels for the World

Wheels for the World

Special needs

A person with limited mobility is tragically often excluded from life in their community because they have no way of moving around. But the gift of a wheelchair literally lifts someone from the dirt to a seat of dignity and opportunity. In this ministry we mobilize a group of people to collect, and transport used and new wheelchairs from a collection site into an 18-wheeler. They are transported to a collections facility to be restored by inmates. Then they are sent to countries all over the world where they are distributed and custom fit. Recipients are given the gospel, a bible, and are connected to a local church.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Youth ministries

Today’s youth face a variety of challenges, and being matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister can help them navigate these challenges and reach their potential. As a Big Brother/Sister, your role will be to give your Little the invaluable gift of friendship, and this can literally change their life.

Mimeo

Mimeo

Assisted living

Mimeo is a retirement home ministry where members of the church meet up with residents to spend quality time, build personal relationships, and share the love of Christ. Through the time that has been spent, and the relationships that have been built here, we have even been able to start a Bible study with the residents, led by volunteers.

Rahab

Rahab

Mercy ministries

Rahab is a safe haven for women with trauma. Many of the residents experience true family for the first time here. While they partner with Emerge Counseling Services to provide therapy specific to the needs of each sex-trafficking survivor who lives here, everything they do, from cooking classes to exercise, is trauma informed.

Hospice Ministry

Hospice Ministry

Mercy ministries

Partnering with Summa Health we have a joyous opportunity to care for individuals during their end-of-life journey. Many of these individuals do not have anyone to spend their final days with. This is a chance to bring love, joy, and the gospel to these individuals and their families. In this ministry after completing a 3-part training you will have the opportunity to provide patients with support and companionship during this journey.
